Week 6

This past weekend was very relaxed yet super exciting! I learned how to surf! ....and tasted a lot of salt water! It was a beautiful weekend so we spent our time outside at the beach and even experienced a beach bonfire at night! It was a short, uneventful trip that was much needed after a week at the village.

This week I’m back at my regular placement! Monday I successfully made it through going to different wards with the PT (the first time I tried this I passed out... oops). Basically, we went to patients who haven’t been discharged from the hospital yet and need physical therapy. We had some stroke patients, who were far to young to have had a stroke I might add, and worked with them on how to just sit, stand, and lay down properly. I sound like I work with dogs...

Getting a little sick of eating rice multiple times a day and cannot wait to eat some ice cream when I get home!
